Why should I become a Pro Member?

One of the best universal marketing methods is providing testimonials from happy customers. Why does Marketing Profs not have "glowing" testimonials from its readers about the effectiveness and validity of the information shared?

Or is this newsletter meant to sell something of minimal value?

As it says on our website, MarketingProfs is "Real-World Education for Modern Marketers." But you want to know about our two levels of membership, Basic vs. PRO.

Our Basic membership costs nothing, and it gives you access to all of our free content. PRO membership is $279/year, and it gives you access to extra goodies. You can see a concise comparison here:
    https://www.marketingprofs.com/membership/

I like to think of it this way... Basic members dabble in marketing, while PRO members live and breathe marketing.

Want to get metaphorical? Me, too!

    • Basic is the all-you-can-eat salad bar; PRO is the ten-course meal prepared by Iron Chefs.
    • Basic is jogging on weekends; PRO is competing in the Olympics.
    • Basic is the high school marching band; PRO is the Boston Philharmonic on the Fourth of July.

Most PRO members say we deliver enormous value and make them better marketers. Here's a quote from one of them:

"MarketingProfs has been the best marketing and educational investment ever. Through the online seminars, I have learned about where marketing is going, been exposed to the best minds in the business, been challenged to rethink my assumptions about the marketplace, and gotten ideas about how to merge old and new marketing."

There are more testimonials here: https://www.marketingprofs.com/about/morequotes.asp

    I hope that helps!

    Hi Todd,

I've been a PRO member for 5 years now, and echo much of what Shelley said about the membership value.

What I really like about PRO is the access and depth that the PRO material goes into. Education from people who do this for a living, everyday. Not people who wrote a few books, became speakers, influential on social media, and couldn't replicate their success with a B2B company if their life depended on it.

You get a taste of that with the free content on the site, yes, and that might be enough for you. But when it's time to take your expertise further, so you can land larger clients, or make your company's marketing perform at a higher level, then you'll want the education that comes at the PRO level.

Hope that helps. And speaking as an outsider looking in, I assume that the people at MarketingProfs may be light-handed with the testimonials, and the push toward gated content, to avoid being perceived as a company that's only focused on signups. Maybe I'm wrong, but I've seen other sites structured this way do the same thing.
