What Is A Good Email Frequency

Is there a recommended number of emails you should send to your membership/group? As in: marketing emails, check-in emails, announcements, etc.

    It all depends on if you have something worth sharing that your prospects care about. Start by studying your baseline open rate and then optimize your subsets based on their actions.

    One company I work (a recreational kayaking outfitter who everyone opted in for) for found that if they sent out messages more than once a month, we got more unsubscribes. We send a monthly update email which is primarily marketing related, trying to get people to come out.

    As much as we would like, we are not central to our receivers lives, so they likely don't want to be overloaded.

    Thank you all for taking the time. Both insightful. We are struggling with several things to market to the same group. Plus, "what's happening" type emails and nurture emails.
