  • Biography:
    Koen Pauwels is Professor of Marketing at Northeastern, Boston and BI, Oslo. He received his Ph.D. from UCLA and got tenure at the Tuck School at Dartmouth. His books include 'Modeling Markets' and 'It’s not the Size of the Data, It’s How You Use it: Smarter Marketing with Analytics and Dashboards”. Koen shared his insights with managers at several companies including Amazon, Tetrapak, Heinz, Kayak, Marks & Spencer, Microsoft, Nissan, Sony and Unilever and with participants in the Return on Marketing Investment seminars at GfK Academy, HEC Geneva, Innsbruck and NYU. Koen serves on AMA's Academic Council and GfK's Digital Future Council.
    Koen was chosen as 'Top Inspirational Alumnus' at UCLA Anderson School. His 50+ papers got 7K+ citations and 15 awards, such as the 2010 Google/WPP Research Award, the 2011 Syntec Best Paper in Marketing/Decision Sciences Award, and the 2007 O’Dell award for best paper in the Journal of Marketing Research.
