| Bio | Pat Divilly has over 30 years broad based experience in every facet of the Information Technology industry. He is founder and CEO of MarketWare International www.marketware.biz . MarketWare International, based in Dublin Ireland, is a specialist marketing and business consultancy organisation for the IT and ebusiness sectors. We provide strategic and operational marketing services and business consulting services.
Before establishing MarketWare International, Pat was Managing Director of the National Software Centre Ltd., having been Sales and Marketing Director for a number of years.
He held the position of Group Marketing Manager for the Cara Group, and was General Manager of Cara Consulting, a specialist UK-based international software company.
He held senior positions with Digital Equipment Corp. (DEC) in Ireland and at European headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. He was General European Regional Marketing Manager for the OEM marketing division while based in Geneva.
Before joining Digital, he had a successful information technology career, rising to the position of MIS Manager at an early age.
As a highly respected marketing professional, he has a practical and pragmatic business approach and is equally at home with multi-national customers or SME’s. He has acted as a marketing and business consultant to all sectors of the industry — hardware, software, services, ebusiness, localisation, etc. He has also advised venture capitalists, governmental and non-governmental agencies. Internationally, he has consulted for the World Bank, and the EU and advised the software industry in Egypt, Latvia, Bangladesh, and Columbia on export marketing strategy and execution.
Pat holds a First Class Honours Engineering Degree and a MBA Degree from the National University of Ireland and a Master of Science Degree from Trinity College, Dublin.
