For the past 6 years I have been the Director of Marketing and a member of executive management for a non-profit, Medicare certified, community-based, healthcare agency with 5 main service lines - home care, hospice, adult day services, community health education, and our clinics - children's, adult and dental. We have a fair-sized geographic service area in Southeastern PA and plenty of competition in home care and hospice - our revenue generators. I plan and execute all the sales and marketing activites for the agency which includes physician/referral source relations, program/service development, practice building activities, website design, development and maintenance, graphic design, copy writing, collateral production, recruitment advertising, etc. It is a one woman show.
I am working toward an MBA and have an undergrad degree in advertising, with a minor in marketing. In my early career I spent the better part of 8 years doing account work for advertising agencies in NYC and Philadelphia then spent about 6 years as an account rep for 2 big direct mail companies. Through the years I have worked with companies of various sizes and industries, all contributing to an broad base of knowledge. Clients have included AT&T, NFL, MLB, NHL, Avis, American Express, Harrah's Casinos, NY Convention & Visitor's Bureau, the Curacao Tourism Board, Pfizer and other healthcare related companies.
I have worked as a consultant to direct mail companies, homecare and private duty marketers and for a short time was an adjunct professor. |
