Bio	Greetings from Scotland! I run my own wee company which provides support, training, advice and resources to schools and local authorities about learning outdoors. What? Why? Outdoor learning? Yes! Children and adults need to be outside enjoying life. We learn best with our hands and hearts as well as our minds. The research is growing monthly about the positive impact of learning outdoors. However it is hard to leave the safe comfort and security of a classroom...and that's where I can help! I undertake a variety of contracts for different organisations such as Scottish Natural Heritage, the Forestry Commission, the Scottish Earth Science Education Forum, etc. I also deliver courses on almost all aspects of learning outdoors. As a head teacher I particularly valued being part of a Scottish HT online community where ideas were shared, problems halved and creative thinking multiplied!
