I want to know .. how to go about writing a 2000 wordassiginment on swot and pest(er) analysis of the banking industry?

    if it is a private bank u have to understand the customer reach and the conveniences provided to the customers .moreover u have to see the easy accessiblity of the banking facilities .the ambience the way u treat ur customers the credit card facilities and all .like compare icici ,threat for banks can be coming from the competition that will come interms of schemes,facilities provided hope i was of some help

    I think you must mean a PESTEL analysis.

    This covers Political, Economic, Sociological, Technological, Environmental, Legal aspects of the External environment as applicable to the subject entity.

    SWOT is usually conducted for an entity, i.e. a business or organisation. Not for an entire Industry.

    To analyse the risk and other matters here is the framework called' CAMELS, which means..C-CAPITAL ADEQUACY,A-ASSET QUALITY,M-MANAGEMENT, E- EARNINGS,L-LIQUIDITY,S-SYSTEMS AND STRUCTURE.
    in general SWOT can be done based on the some factors like NPA of the bank, spread of its network, competitors of computerisation and latest E- banking services, amount bank deposits and advances( asset base),the economic development and raise in income..Etc. If you need more let us know..
