Need A Name For My Jewelry Making Business Asap...
Posted By: jodiarnold2003* on 6/27/2006 9:13 PM (CST) 250 Points
Hi everyone, I really need a name for a small jewelry making business I started on the side.... initially as a hobby. It is sold mainly at tourism areas of Newfoundland, Canada. I would really like it to have something to do with this unique island we live on here in newfoundland or something with our culture. But I am open to anything at this point! The jewelry reaches ppl between ages 20 and 60. I'm looking for something different, classy and sophisticated.

Maybe something relating to the Ocean?... I really need help!

Looking for Name and Tagline!

My Uncle is in the Jewel business himself. Mosley's Jewelry in Louisiana. If you actually look at your market, you will see all very famous jewelry is named after someone. If you are making jewelry unique to your style, it needs to be named after you. Just face it, it works. Look at all these famous companies, I know most of these because of their commericals and how each on represents a name of a designer. It creates the illusion that the company makes unique pieces by one person and that each piece is worth much more than the price. Who says "A Diamond is forever"

Kay Jewelry

Zales Jewelry

Jarrod's Jewelry

Pinot's Jewelry

Mosley's Jewelry

Adler's Jewelry

Heller's Jewelry

Gordon's Jewelry

Zack's

Cohn and Rosenburger

Tiffany's

Daniel Swarovski

Camilla Parker

Need I go further?

Only the wholesale places choose names that seem generic and costum jewelry always has a general name as well. Don't be just another jewelry store, be unqiue, be you.

How about:

NewfoundJewels/Jewelry

Or as someone had previously suggested the French (though, not sure of the French speaking population up there,

Les bijoux nouvelles (the new jewels)
La Bijou (the jewel)
Les bijoux del la famille (the family jewels)

You may find that all the "good" names are taken - watch out for copyright/trademark infringement! I like the idea of using your name, that way there's little chance of someone else already owning the name.

What about:
JodiJewels (or JodiJewelry)
Jewels by Jodi
J-jewels
J. Arnold Bijoux
J. Island Jewels
Adorned by Jodi

Good luck!

Adornity

Some Hebrew words for jewels if you like:

Adie (pronounced Adee') or spell it any way you like

i hope you like them

good luck
