Need A Tagline For A Promotions Company
Posted By: igetbiz1 on 7/2/2006 10:47 AM (CST) 250 Points
Good morning all, I need help with my company’s slogan. I run a small promotions company called Circ Mode Media. We service our customers with everything from graphic design to distribution of fliers/circulars; we also do event promotions and production such as festivals and parades. Since we are not a huge company with deep pockets we pride in doing alternative marketing such as a information hot line for targeted audience.
As ironic as it may sound, we have come up with about a dozen good slogans for our clients, but have yet to get one for us. Maybe is because I’m very demanding when it comes to the company’s image.
I have come up with a few good slogans, but after going online, they were all taken.
One that really describes my company is “One Company, Many Solutions”, but again is taken. Another one that I like, but not sure if is taken is “Experience Your Imagination”.
These are the tag lines that I feel best describe the company. I appreciate all of your help and if you have any questions please let me know.

I like the concept " Consider it Done! ", but isn't there another company that uses it or something similar.

Hi,

• Communicating your needs
• Believe in Solutions
• Helping your needs differently
• We made the world move
• There is reason for every thing
• Every problem there is a solution

I hope this will help!

Regards,

You have 2 alternatives when selecting a tag line:
- something "catchy"
- something that reinforces your differentiating characteristics and strengthens your brand. (If I get a vote it goes for this type, but it's your call.)

If you want the 1st type, look for something that rolls off the tongue, has a rhyme and/or double meaning and is easy to remember. Conduct a brainstorming session for 15-30 minutes (or until new ideas dry up) and capture every idea - the good, the bad and the ugly. Your goal should be to get as many ideas without evaluating or filtering any. When you're finished, put the list away until the next day - then select the good ideas and any promising ideas that you can build upon. (Feel free to laugh as you discard the bad and the ugly!)

If you want the 2nd type, you first have to:
- define your differentiating characteristics. What makes you different from other similar businesses and why should people use you instead of your competition?
- define your target customers (buyers and sellers) in as much detail as possible. What are their: ages, income level, marital status, sex, educational level...?
-define what you want your brand to represent. In the future after your brand is established, when someone hears your company name what do you want them to think of? With this information, conduct a brainstorming session as described above.

Having said that, how about:
- One-of-a-Kind Promotions for Unique Companies
- Off The Wall Ideas
- Promotions That Are Out Of The Box

Why do you want a tagline? What do you expect it to do for you? How will you know which tagline to pick if we come up with a dozen candidates? What are the criteria for a winning tagline?

If you can answer those questions we'll have a much better chance of coming up with what you want.

I came up with inspiration about Three Musketeers: All for One and One for All. That's similar to Your idea ;-) so it would be like that:

All for one. Your satisfaction.

Greetings!

Good morning all,

So far I like all the ideas and concepts, some are more impacting that the others, but have to say pretty good ideas.
To answer mgoodman question I would have to say that the winning quote is one that A) Is catchy b) Has to do/ be related to promotions c) describes the company, one that has many options and that can take a project from beginning to end.
Just an idea of the ones that have stand out to me more are: and please don't take offense for any commons i make, just trying to communicate my thoughts to reach a good conclusion.
-More then Promotions (is not so impacting to me, but it describes te company)
-product, ideas- Promotion
-All for one. Your satisfaction. (doesn't roll off the tong, but does communicate a message)
- One-of-a-Kind Promotions for Unique Companies
- Off The Wall Ideas
- Promotions That Are Out Of The Box
-One world...many solutions (don't know if is taken and one world may sound too broad)
??? does any one of "Experience your Imagination taken"?

Again, the quote may not describe all of the above, but it has to do with it. I hope I given everyone a clearer view of this project.
Again, thanks all for all your efforts.

I have a few questions to help you think about this in a new way; more food for thought. First of all, what is your client profile? And who specifically, i.e., marketing manager, small biz owner, etc. are you trying to communicate with? Can you speak to them in their own language? Try to think like they do.

Secondly, what is the ultimate goal of your services for your client? Or what does your client expect to accomplish using your services? Who are the customers they're trying to reach? Perhaps including the benefit of what you do in your tagline might be more effective...and try to avoid anything generic. Without more info, it's hard to come up with a tagline that isn't generic. And generic only seems to work for very large companies who can proclaim whatever it is repeatedly to make it their own.

I like where you're trying to go with "Experience Your Imagination", but I interpret it to mean that I, as the client, would do the thinking and you just execute. But you said you provide creative services as well, so it's not quite right.

Finally, I vote for edgy. Leave the customer with something memorable, that stands out from the crowd, a statement that communicates your philosophy or why your services will work better than anyone else's for their particular customer. Take a risk! If you truly think out of the box, let the statement itself demonstrate that you do.

Consider it done is a tag line used by Boise Cascade Office Products, Now Office Max, I do not know if they still use it.

Get the idea?

Just some quick ideas. Think of a slogan that will work in all media both visually and verbally in words only.

Have a logo designed that can stand alone. along with the tagline. something that can work in one, two and 4 color. but then again you probably know all this.

Take your shot
Good Luck.

Hola Ed Alvarez,
Como estas?
First of all, I congratulate you for running ur own promotion company.
i am also planning to form my own company, which would be involved in marketing communications and consultancy. Hence, I have utmost respect for those who try to be entrepreneurs.

I have one different, catchy but very informal tagline for you. It is a bit bizarre and energetic.

- Halloo..ballyhoo!

(Ballyhoo =Sensational advertising or promotion)
