Tag Line For Joewoo.com
Posted By: Joe Woo on 7/10/2006 8:35 PM (CST) 1250 Points
I am launching a company called JoeWoo.com. It will focus on auction consignment for consumers and businesses, as well as Joe Woo branded items. I need assistance for a tag line. The difference in my auction consignment company is that we are the cheapest, we offer loyalty rewards for buying and selling when you meet certain criteria, we ship across the planet, we offer a choice of gift wrapping and a card(if you want to surprise or "woo" someone special), we utilize all auction sites to sell, we focus on businesses/clubs/organizations (discounts for multiple selling), and we involve our customers in the entire process.
I am starting this company as a regional company, so the option to personally pick up the item from the seller and deliver to the buyer will be there for a small fee. Some additional background info, JoeWoo was given to me as a name because I was told that I make things simple and easy and that I make people happy. Let me know what ideas and thoughts you have. Thanks again! Joe

Hi Joe woo,

At the first place we are considering two things to define the necessary tagline: Customer service and Business Process. As you know great names/taglines are a powerful force in the branding, marketing and advertising campaigns of the companies they work for.

If you want to consider Customer service and Business

1. Better management through customer service
2. A smart Thing to do
3. Managing your Needs
4. Building a perfect bond
5. Smart work for smart people
6. We deliver real benefit

If you want to thing about delivery then:

• Standard Delivery
• Next Working Day
• Guaranteed Next Working Day
• Saturday Before Noon

Or something funny:

• 80 days around the word
• Discover a difference
• Linking the world

One of the most important things that the best brands accomplish is being thought of as greater than the goods and services offered. Nike's "Just Do It" helps them rise above selling sneakers. Apple's "Think Different" is bigger than computers.

I hope this will help!

Regards,

M Bhor

JoeWoo - faster, cheaper, better!

JoeWoo - for the individual, just like everyone else
(hey, its funny!)

JoeWoo - making shopping fun since 2006
(we all start sometime)

JoeWoo - (and here is where you roate the saying of the day or page load)
YES, go with a rotating USP! Who is doing that today? Well, Google plays with their logo everyday. You have a lot of different things to say, so say it in a fun, EDUCATIONAL way. With every page click, your message is being planted in the custoemr's mind. So, I say, why settle for one? Do a bunch because you have a lot of neat offerings.

Joe Woo - Auction Hero (even better if it's Auction Heroes). (I'm sure that's out there being used now, but back in the day that was my first domain name in England and there weren't any others, even variations. I was such a dope, I didn't know there was a race for domain names. I had such a fun logo, too.)

You know, after all this typing, I'm thinking it's not a very good suggestion, after all. Joe Woo actually invites the tag line of romancing, seducing... Joe Woo - You'll Love Auctions Like Never Before. And Auction Hero kind of competes with the already cartoon-friendly name.

And on and on and on I go. I guess it's a slow day at work! :)

You do or offer so many things I thought of Hares right away, hundreds of them zipping around shopping, delivering ... experts in their fields. Every 'doubleclick' sends another hare on a mission.

Your description also reminds me of a persoanl shopper but somewhat of a selfserve online version thus controlling costs but not limiting choice.

So ...

Tagline suggestion could be

Like a Personal Online Shopper for The Harried!

Hares could become your Branded Image with SaddleBags and all!

Have fun!

I didn't just buy it - I - WOOHOOed! at Joe Woo

Thanks for all the info so far. I've got some good ones to choose from. I'll probably have this up for two more days, and then make a decision.
Also, if anyone is interested, I am looking for a top notch marketing/advertising/pr person; preferably somewhere in DE, PA, or NJ.
Keep the taglines coming, and let me know if you are interested. Thanks again! Joe

Hi Joe Woo,

I hope you're having a great day!

GREAT IDEAS JOE...
It's obvious that you are a wise person as you have considered the impact of your service and product upon your customer. Your ability to include the customer in every part of your transaction and to provide top level service offerings to that customer makes your business a major spotlight.

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS...
in your tagline. As you seriously consider a tag only worthy of the fine level of that service toward your client don't forget to "Use It" to your greatest advantage. This is where most companies fail to really claim the most powerful benefit in their tagline but not you. What you do and everything that you do should be something that heavily reflects this offering. Go for it Joe! You're on to something great. And also acknowledge most businesses fail because they have not decided to succeed.

HERE'S MY RECOMMENDATION BUT DO WHAT YOU BELIEVE...

Remember our only real problem in life is our failure to be "MORE Creative" than we’ve ever been. If you “Invent” your opportunity YOU WILL most definitely create your future. Just know that I'm here for you if you need my help. Is there anything else I can do for you?

Hey Joe,

first of all, your web site isn't even "live" yet, even with a static front page. So, just by posting here with nothing to look at, you've lost out on a marketing "opportunity"....WoooooNoooooo

second, you stated that you want to do consignment auctions for both business and individuals, so it's different than E-Bay somewhat.....personally, i don't think many large corporations would sell product or dispose of assets through anything that was NOT named in a highly-professional manner (e.g. cutsie tag-line)

third, you stated that your company is the "cheapest, we offer loyalty rewards for buying and selling when you meet certain criteria, we ship across the planet, we offer a choice of gift wrapping and a card(if you want to surprise or "woo" someone special), we utilize all auction sites to sell, we focus on businesses/clubs/organizations (discounts for multiple selling), and we involve our customers in the entire process."

WOOOO...so does E-Bay.....so you'd better figure out what is your DIFFERENTIATOR before you create a tagline. There isn't one town in America that doesn't already have a "regional" E-Bay reseller business model set-up.........

ps: personally, I don't care whether the comission is 3% or 10% as long as my "junk" gets sold quickly. And, getting "loyalty" points is OK, but I've got way too many "mileage" points with so many people already....so, please don't take this as negative...just be critical of what you do differently.......good luck
