Reach School Administrators, Coaches, Etc. Online
Posted By: ThinkWell on 8/9/2006 9:22 AM (CST) 500 Points
Trying to reach Administrators or those responsible for group transportation needs and/ or contracting of Buses for school events such as: field trips, sporting events, band events, booster groups, and other extracurricular events.

Where would you reach this audience?

This group of people is easily reached via e-mail. Contact information is public record. Start with each state's dept of education.

Also, make sure you find out when each state has it's board-of-education conference. You may want to be part of the trade show.

Another thing to keep in mind is the timing of your campaign. Many districts start their fiscal year October 1. Prior to that is when money is allocated to events like this. Also want to work with individual departments. Many districts give teachers authority to spend x amount on trips. Other hold tight reins.

A phone call to the administrative office is a good start, but know who you're looking for first.

Two suggestions:

One, check with your local school districts on the web. For instance, here in North Carolina we have a website that lists all school personnel including admins.

second, if you don't know about email marketing software, check it out. There are several programs - including Intellicontact - that can automate the marketing process once you do get the names and email addresses.

There are a number of mailing lists and email lists that can be used to reach high school administrators. I just ran a search on our mailing lists search engine and came up with a number of very good lists. Follow this link for the search results:

Hope that helps!

Here is a quick run down of places...
1) nearly every state holds an annual school board convention. This is the place to meet school administrators.
2) state athletic association ... coaches

Hi think well

If you want run your business and need to find a source of business. To describe your self as best source of business you need to advertise yourself. Instead of going to them let them come to you!!

Advertise in News Paper and On Radio, Target special month for the cheap trips – day return, and design your own website with advertising tools? Contact local schools by sending mail about who you are and what you do? Personally visit them to build relationship.

Try to do google.com search or find your target audience via Yellow page. Use a word of mouth tool to do proper address research.

I hope this will help!

Hi think well

You need to do a lot to find out who are the gatekeepers for your business. you can target those people by collecting information who are they? Where are they? And how you going to tell them “you are the best”

You need to prepare your business documents containing your service brochure, CD and till date your experience. Send the application with all the above necessary to the school head.

Search your target market by using Google, business software or the word of mouth skill. Would you be able for the tickets offer /discount? At first place….try to convince them you can do better than others.

I hope this will help!

M Bhor

Thank you to those who understand I am seeking assistance in how to REACH them and not how to market.

Do you know of any specific list vendors that have a quality list for an email marketing campaign?

Thanks!

- Check the websites of state education departments for listings or links to school districts within each state.
- Check into associations for school district administrators and athletic directors and coaches. A good reference library will have the Encyclopedia of Associations.
- For email campaigns. look into www.verticalresponse.com. They are a hosted service that allows you to upload your mailing list and email message in text and/or html.

In response to your question about following up with the list vendors and to extend my earlier response...

To contact the list vendor for any of the lists you find in the mailing lists search engine, click the "Request More Information" or "Place Order" button and your request will be routed directly to the list vendor.

Regards,
Joe
