Realtor In Search Of Tag Line
Posted By: teresa75 on 9/9/2006 4:54 PM (CST) 125 Points
I am in a small realty company consisting of 5 women. I am the newest agent. The name of the company is Epps Miles Eaddy Realty. We are in a small rural town but our agency has surpassed the others who are kinda frozen in time. I am a very energetic and outgoing person. My name is Teresa McDonald and for a personal tagline I was thinking
Energy and Excellence that work for you.
What do you think? Any suggestions?

Theresa,

I think your tag line is good. As a Realtor too, I might add one more adjective that begins with "E" for example Enthusiastic. I know those are all key characteristics buyers and sellers look for in an agent.

Hope this feedbac is helpful.

I like it!! What market do you serve? I live and work in Rhode Island and I too am looking for a tag line.
Maybe you have some suggestions for me. I find it easier to think for others than for myself.

Energy, Excellence and Enthusiasm is great

The ending kind of drops off...

I suggest.. EE&E put the power to work

Laura I work in a small city - mainly rural area. But I am only 60 miles from Myrtle Beach. Your market seems a lot different. Some tag lines I like-
High Tech, High Touch
Touch the future
I have the keys!

Hi Teresa
I have assisted many real estate agents who service desirable beach towns in my region with radio advertiisng.

My advice is keep it short and sweet and emotive.

Ï like the one above Ï have the Keys, but I think it needs to your new home on the end.

The EEE is a little overused - could be your local gym, or power utility

Good Luck

Thanks solidgoldfm,
I too thought maybe the EEE was a little too much. I am a very energetic, outgoing and enthusiastic person. Do you have an idea of how I could say that. One of the other ladies in the office is using a tagline similar to I have the keys.

Our Tag line that the company is going to use is
Epps Miles Eaddy Realty
Its Your Move......
I wanted a personal tag line that reflects my energy, enthusiasm, and hard work I put into my deals. Any suggestions?

Teresa,
I can understand "it's your move" with the link to your profession... but the link with your energy / enthusiasm is less obvious - i dare say your customers won't relate either.

Negatively, it could be construed telling someone - "the balls in your court - you decide what you want to do". My personal opinion (ad it is only my view) is that isn't quite the right message to portray to your customers?

I totally agree with Solidgoldfm - simple and emotive. avoid the cliches that are advised by marketers!

You can't argue with Nike who tell you to "Just do it."

Think about your customers - what is important to them? Thinking about moving myself, it can be extremely expensive, stressful and worrying. It also represents a households single biggest investment in life.

Your tag line needs to tell people you are with them every step of the way. I think you were getting somewhere when Kathy mentioned "bringing you home".... nice, simple and homely.

Avoid marketing words and go for something your customers empathise with that is simple and they instantly understand...

don't use these below but it might help spark some thought:

1) let us take you home
(to reflect security/ with you every step of the way)

2) easy movers

3) moving matters

4) more like your neighbor than your agent

I agree with what you say. Let me give you a little more info.
Epps Miles Eaddy
Its Your Move...
Agents in our office will use these taglines:
Karen has your keys...
Miles of Experience...( Last name miles)
Let's Get Moving...
Me - ?
Is it overkill for everyone to have a tag line?
I don't know?

I think "More like your neighbor than your agent" kinda reflects the relationship I have with buyers and sellers . People feel comfortable I think with me.

Teresa,

go for it if you think it works for you.

personally many people/companies are successful without a catchy tag...

personality, energy and most of all service and attention to detail will work harder for you than any tag line... with GREAT service, people will use you again and even refer their friends who want to move! Thats what it's all about.

You could reward your clients if they manage to refer a friend or relative who move/ sell with you? Offer a $25 voucher at your local department store for every friend that completes and mentions their friend (that could work if you can take it from your commission/ fee though)???

good luck!

get your clients to be your sales team!!
