Name For A Pretzel Chain
Posted By: eishaa4u* on 9/11/2006 4:09 AM (CST) 250 Points
Hi All,
I’m planning to setup a soft pretzel food business, which shall sell specialty soft pretzels. Please do give me suggestions for names and tag lines; all ideas would be really appreciated. I think it would be a good idea to keep the word Pretzel in the name.
Thanks a ton!
Eishaa

Do you only sell original pretzels or is your business one that does all sorts of fancy toppings, etc?
If so:
The Pretzel Twist - giving the original pretzel a modern twist.

Good Luck!

I'm having an attack of dry humor:

Duh Pretzels - They're like hot twisted breadsticks. With salt.

Pretzel Alley - Bread so twisted your mom would be shocked

I'll stop before it gets worse...

The first thing I envisioned was a chain of pretzels, I saw that as your logo. Three twisted pretzels in a chain.

So, I thought about it, a lot.

I think you should name it:

"The Pretzel Chain"

Bake a few...sell them as a chain. It could be your signature product...a pretzel chain.

I think parents will buy them as birthday fare, instead of cakes...you're the maker...play with it.

So, my vote goes for:
"THE PRETZEL CHAIN"

All the Best, whatever you choose.

Hi All,
Thank you so much for ur suggestions! It was really good fun reading through all of them. I do like quite a few !

The Pretzel Chain
Knot just Pretzels
The PRetzel that ate Boston (Sounds fun, but i don quite understand the logic tho?)
The Pretzel Company

I simply loved the tag line " You can't resist the twist" or maybe Can you resist the twsit?

How does "Philadelphia Pretzels" sound? I liked the name bcoz it sounds authentic, since this chain is going to be in another country. And then ofocurse Philadelphia is one of the biggest pretzel eater cities.

Thanks a ton again for all the precious advice and suggestions ! :)

Even though your first instinct is to put the word pretzel in the name...you may be painting yourself into a marketing corner. I would like to brand your business with a personality, not a label - a friend in the kitchen so to speak. With that being said, consider:

Twisty's
Knot your ordinary pretzel!

Eishaa,
I can't really add to the suggestions for the names, you have some great choices here. But I can tell you that I think you should take the positive spin on the tag - Can You Resist The Twist, instead of "You Can't ..." I REALLY like Randall's idea about the chain, and the possible new product of chained pretzles. How cool is that?! Also, it definitely leaves room for growth, not only in the aspect of more locations, but also it would fit very well with other products because of the implication of double meaning.

Best Wishes,

Jennifer

Philadelphia Pretzels means nothing to me being from another country .... so don't count on it or else you could miss out on a complete nation or two.

Whether classic salted or dessert pretzels with brushed toppings etc your name and product can become its own Brand like Wendy's etc.

Just guessing here based on your signature but something like....

Eishaa's Pretzels
