The copy writer must be well versed with computer and computer terminology and should be able to put it in the language that is simple and understandable for anyone (from any part of the world) who knows simple english.

Still the language should be creative and engaging. Try to find from www.writersbureau.in. They must be able to refer a few creative new writers from their list. After all the new writers might not cost you the heaven.

Dear Rachel,

It is www.writersbureau.com not www.writersbureau.in as I had mentioned in my earlier response.

Best Wishes,

kannan

Hi Rachel,

I would be more than happy to assist you with your Web site. I have been a professional writer and editor for many years now. I recently wrote content for ControlScan (a network security company). Their site is: http://www.controlscan.com. You may see some samples of my work at my site - the site is listed on my profile page.

I have been working with computers for many years, and the content at ControlScan shows that I write content that is easy to read for technical and non-technical people.

My rates are reasonable and I can turn around the copy for you quickly, something that is important when you are trying to get a Web site on the Interent.

I also wrote articles for ComputerBits magazine and for ComputorEdge magazine.

I pride myself on writing Web content. I have been managing editor of many sites over the years and I know the importance of including the correct keywords for SEO (Search Engine Optimization). You can be sure that I will give your project my utmost attention.

Please feel free to contact me so we can discuss your needs.

Hello,
I have an excellant designer for you. His name is Mark Larmand. You can go to his site and check things out. He has his own web design company as well he teaches courses on design and photoshop and many others. One of his sites is www.sitepoint.com. Or you can just type in Mark Larmand Web Design and you'll see most of his sites and his accompishments.

Hope this helps and I know you'll be pleased with his work.

I would be happy to WRITE for you. Please contact me if you're interested. I'm new here & not sure of the protocol (please advise!)

I have a journalism degree & 15 years of experience AND looking for freelance/contract opportunities, mainly as an event producer, but writing is right up my alley -- AND I am NOT a techy, so the Average Joe should be able to identify with my jargon.

thanks,
Alicia

The Society for Technical Communication (http://www.stc.org/) is a great resource. Forget the preconceptions about technical writers--they are just right for this kind of thing.

Good luck!

This is a great place to ask your question, because there are lots of us here who do exactly what you're looking for. I'd look for technical marketing experience, because it's not enough to be able to write lively, understandable copy: the writer also has to be able to sort out what is *true*, which is not always so obvious to a nontechnical person. As a marketing communications specialist with decades in software and technology consulting, I'd be happy to talk to you more about this if you're interested. My email is in my profile. Good luck,
Marge
