I Need A Tagline For My New Company.
Posted By: brendabertrand on 11/6/2006 11:56 AM (CST) 125 Points
I am a trainer, professional speaker and coach. I help women ages 18-35 become connected with their authentic selves and live out of truth and freedom. I am able to get through the clutter and get to the heart of the matter. I want to see women reach their potential by becoming whole in the mind and heart. I create world class experiential seminars, speeches and training programs focused on young women's development and success. They have been described as life transformative.
I have been described as energetic, motivating, able to provide direction and guidance, Oprah like in my connection with people especially women (I'm just telling what others have said). ;-)

I need a tagline (and possibly a company name). I may just go with my own name, [name deleted by staff] (and last name) for the company.

I want the tagline to be fresh, quick, upbeat but very solution oriented.

Additionally, I have been described as energetic, motivating, able to provide direction and guidance, someone who is not afraid to speak truth, had a life long impact on women who have heard speeches or been coached/mentored, "Oprah like" in my connection with people and in my delivery style (I'm just telling what others have said). ;-)

I need a tagline (and possibly a company name). I may just go with my own name, [name deleted by staff] (and last name) for the company.

I want the tagline to be fresh, quick, upbeat but very solution oriented.

Check another coach with a request for a similar scene & see if that helps on dovetailing for yours.

If it is more personalized one on one coaching I like using your name and a tag line - "Secrets from a Caring Coach" "Helping You Reach Power"
Best in all you do,
Kathy

"Authenticate the Real You"

"Authenticate Your SELF"

"Defining Your SELF"

Use the word "SELF" as an acronym for something (I'm thinking about that, and do not have an immediate answer-however, I'm sure our brilliant think tank can help us.)

I'm still thinking.......................

Sorry, I just don't like the idea of using your name. Not that there's anything wrong with the name, but as a business name, it just doesn't work for me -- I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it just sounds too much like the emphasis is on you and not on your clients, i.e., "the great [name deleted by staff]."

Here are some more ideas for names followed by tags:

I don't like the use of my name either. I am trying to find the other option.
I like truth speaks and truthfully yours.
Do you proeditor have a preference of any you submitted?

Hi Brenda,

Just so you know I'm Karen, I'm 52 and I'm living a wonderful life! And YOU have motivated me to try to help you!

Hmmm, I really got on a roll when I thought of all those! I just threw them all out there in case you liked any of them or in case they spurred other ideas.

I do like TruthSpeaks, because it plays off the fact that you're a speaker but also works with the life coaching aspect. It also sounds strong (in a good way), and appropriate if you're working with business or professional audiences.

Truthfully Yours is more personal and touchy-feely, which could be exactly what you want. (I don't know at this point whether you need a business or personal feel, but I'm sure you know). Why don't you run a few of the ideas by some of your existing clients to see their reactions?

You can really mix and match many of my suggested taglines and names, except for those that would be repetitious (for example, you wouldn't use Truthfully Yours, find your core truth).

With TruthSpeaks, I like
finding your life's purpose
finding the real you (or nix the "ing" on those)
nothing but the whole you
... a woman’s path to wholeness

(Since your audience is exclusively women, getting that idea across in your tagline might be useful).

and I like

Truthfully Yours
the power to be

Just to see how these feel, look at them in context of your story. I drafted this as a rough example of how you might use TruthSpeaks:

TruthSpeaks
… a woman’s path to wholeness

It’s not often that one person or event can be credited with changing another person’s life. But for clients of TruthSpeaks, such success stories abound.
[short example here].

Speaker, motivator and coach Brenda Bertrand founded TruthSpeaks to help women (usually 18 to 35 years old) reach their full potential. The company offers world-class experiential seminars, speeches and training programs focused on young women's development and fulfillment. [where are these offered?]

Brenda’s success with her clients comes from her uncanny ability – some call it “Oprah-like” – to connect with women, providing direction and guidance. Through her energy and honesty, she helps women find their authentic selves, and according to Brenda, “become whole in mind and heart.”

Hope that helps. Keep us posted!

Truthfully Yours,
karen
