Tagline For Discount Retail Optical Stores
Posted By: cambridge on 12/6/2006 12:03 PM (CST) 750 Points
I would be grateful for your suggestions for a tagline for a new discount retail optical chain—called Eyeworks Optical—to be based in the Southwestern U.S.

The stores will be approximately 3500 to 4000 square feet in size and located in major strip shopping centers. All stores will be full service, including an optometrist and optical lab on premises, and offer one hour service. They will also offer a large selection of eyeglass frames, including many designer names, at prices that are significantly lower than other optical chains. Typical price points for eyeglass frames will be $25 to $70. Contact lenses will be sold at competitive prices, comparable to online purchases.

The stores’ hallmarks will be personalized service, glasses prepared in one hour, large selection of frames, low prices and great quality, with satisfaction guaranteed.

I have been thinking of taglines along the lines of ‘great glasses for less’ or ‘designer frames for less’, but would be grateful for other suggestions.

Thanks for your help with this as well as the other questions I have posted in recent weeks. Everyone on this forum has been incredibly helpful.

HI Cambridge,

It's exciting to see your progress with your new concept. By far, from the suggestions above, I like these the best:

The best deals in sight.
Savings as far as the eye can see

I might add: Selection & Savings: As far as the eye can see (Though it's long, it is very descriptive, and in your previous question, selection was a big differentiator for you).

And just thought of these. (no clever puns, but simply spelling out benefits)

EyeWorks Optical
Style, Savings, Service... Guaranteed

EyeWorks Optical
Look your best. Save money.

EyeWorks Optical
See more styles. See more savings.

See better styles. See better savings. See better.

Your advertising could go on to say some of the things mentioned by others here. It could be something like, "We're working to bring you the best in eyecare with bargain prices and red carpet treatment. [more detail here about features/benefits] Service, selection and savings... as far as the eye can see."

Thanks everyone. These are all really great ideas. We're leaning towards some of the more simple and straightforward suggestions, along the lines of "great prices, great styles, great service " or "Style, Savings, Service... Guaranteed", which describe our mission and goals in a few words. Would be grateful on your feedback as to whether this approach is on the right track. Was also wondering if we might be better off replacing the word 'style' with 'selection' to emphasize the large range of eyeglass choices we offer.

Hi Cambridge,

Glad you like "Style, Savings, Service... Guaranteed." It has stood the test of a few days time with me too.

I think "Style" works better than "Selection" because the former is two syllables shorter and makes the line flow a bit better. Also to me, "style" says more than just "selection;" it implies lots of choices in many styles.
