Name And Tagline For Gift Baskets
Posted By: yazlina on 12/29/2006 3:37 AM (CST) 250 Points
Hi all,

I have a hobby of making gift baskets. Lately my friends whom have acquired my services has been asking me to do it commercially.

My target markets would be corporate companies and my gift baskets will mainly be for the festive season and range from $30 to $300.

I was thinking of something like 'Thoughtful Gifts' or 'Little Treats'. Something that not only says about the gift basket, but also that it was made using quality products.

I would appreciatte if members could provide a name/tagline for my future gift basket business.

Thank you

How about the "Monastery of Gifts"?

I explain the sugestion, anciently, the monks were excellent cookers and made some of the western most well known cakes that are made mainly with eggs.

On some places they are really apreciated.

Although i suppose that using this name demands that the client as some knowledge over culinary and history.

U can also use the name "Flavour of giving" or "flavour of gift"

Since you are targeting the corporate world with your gift baskets, I would stay away from the flowery, cutsey names and stay in line with the corporate world and jargon:

Biz Baskets
Business Centric Gifts for Corporate Giving

BasketMail
Unique Gift Baskets for the Corporate World

BasketBuzz
The Latest Trend in Corporate Gift-Giving

Relevant Content
Trendy Gift Baskets for Business

Braggable Baskets
Gift Baskets for the Leaders on Your List

SmartBaskets

Another gift basket marketer asked about taglines and got lots of good suggestions that you might be able to borrow. It's now a closed question: http://www.marketingprofs.com/ea/qst_question.asp?qstID=15593

Your ideas, 'Thoughtful Gifts' and 'Little Treats' do not sound like they would apply to a corporate gift basket (sounds more like a personal gift). I'd guess that the most common reason that a business gives baskets is to thank customers for their business, usually around holidays.

How about:

Bountiful Baskets
the tasteful gift

or

Bountiful Baskets
always tasteful, always appropriate

Will your baskets contain food items alone or other things?

A comment regarding a couple of the suggestions above: the term "corporate giving" is used when corporations give money to charities, so I don't think it's appropriate for your tagline. I do like Biz Baskets.

I'll let you know if I think of anything else.

Are you are targeting businesses. or corporations specifically. Are you not planning a retail location?

If so I would focus on Our Baskets.. Your Brand
From baskets to brands to gifts

Add your brand to a basket
making a perfect gift for your customers

Your Brand, Our Baskets, Recognition, All wrapped up!
Your Brand, Our Basket, Together, All wrapped up!
Your Brand, Our Basket, Success, All wrapped up!

Depends on the business.
Your Brand, Our Basket, Real Estate, All wrapped up!
Your Brand, Our Basket, Insurance, All wrapped up!
Your Brand, Our Basket, Carpet Cleaning, All wrapped up!

Try it out! Good Luck.

Tasteful Appreciation

Tasteful Gratitude

Tasteful Thanks

"Basket" feels clumsy.

"Tasteful" - play on tact and tasty

An approach that worked well for me when deciding on my tagline was to think about the benefits my basket business that would give the corporate client. I asked a business consultant what corporations cared most about and she said they want to be remembered. So, I created my tagline: Choose Gift Baskets by Flora today and be remembered for many tomorrows.

Happy New Year All!

Thank you for the great suggestions. It's really good that I am reminded to stay away from cutesy names as I am catering to the corporate market. The names given sound very business like and someone serious about the business.

I hope more will share their ideas :) and those who have, I really appreciate it.

Hi All,

I was wondering, if I put a name to the main name. Example : Lisa's Tasteful Thoughts. Would sound/look okay for the corporate segment I'm targeting? Or should I just do without the name.

I'd strongly suggest staying clear and simple. Lisa's Tasteful Thoughts could be anything. For a new company, I'd stick to a direct name, something with gift baskets in it or strongly implied.

I like BizBaskets, but with a different slogan. I also think Lisa's BizBaskets would work.

Slogan suggestions:

"tasteful treats for the business world"

"thoughtful treats for the business world"

"our baskets say you care"

Good Luck with your new business!

Hi Lisa,

I wouldn't use your name, as it goes back to my concern about not sounding "corporate" enough -- it sounds a little cutesy. Maybe your last name would work?

Happy New Year!

If you don't want to use your name, try this:

Kudos Corporate Gifts

Kudos Corporate Awards

Kudos Corporate Rewards

Using anyone of these, I can see businesses realizing right away what service you provide-no tag line required!

Good luck!

If you want the option to sell your business someday, I would not use your name. I do like regional names, one of my names favorite in the Seattle ares was Puget Sound Greetings. If you do corporate work, you may find as I did that the regional slant is a good selling angle.

Good Luck and have fun,
