Brand Name For Designer Ladies Clothing
Posted By: brandbuilding* on 1/4/2007 10:30 AM (CST) 250 Points
Hello

Can anyone suggest a catchy and vibrant name for a upmarket young ladies clothing brand aimed at 18-28 year old women with following USP:

- highly fashionable label based around modest designs (idea being to cover-up rather than follow the "reveal more" trend)
- natural fabrics like cotton, wool, silk and linen
-designer quality from stitching to packaging

Brand has aspirations to be cross-border so the name needs to work in different cultures and languages.

Thanks

I've kept the best for the last. Its the female symbol " O+"

It is Stylised, highly fashionable based around modest designs, covered, natural, designer - from stitching to packaging.

The tagline says: Defined. Matured.

There will be a problem of refering to the brand name. But that can be solved by refering to it as: The O+, means THE WOMAN - Defined. Matured.

Hi friends,

thanks for the suggestions.

i wanted to keep the name simple, easy to remember, yet instantly connect the brand USP.

At the same time the name needs to be able to cross cultures as we hope to market in different territories.

The style will be sophisticated and designer - and therefore the name needs to reflect this.

Whilst there are lots of good suggestions above, I'm not sure if any hits the sweet spot totally.

I hope some of you creative talents will help me out with this...

Try playing with English words translated into other languages. Or looking up feminine words. I to am a designer and it is hard coming up with that right name sometimes. Here are some ideas just for fun:

Cover Up= "Recouvrir" in French
Cover up= "Cubrir" in Spanish
Kover
Facade
Masq= Mask
Konseal= conceal
Disqiyes= Disguise
Mesh

Or what is something that describes you well or what you want to convey in your line. Maybe even your name mixed with something important can spark an interest.

I do like Necole's suggestion.

Interms of what we want to convey it is:

1. highly stylish and cultured brand
2. modesty at heart of design
3. natural fabrics used in material

hope that is a steer for your creative thinking..
