Name For A Sales Training Program
Posted By: FrankP* on 1/30/2007 7:48 PM (CST) 500 Points
I provide sales training for professionals
who don't perceive themselves as sales reps.
or that they are engaged in "sales". Most of them
work in the elective healthcare field, such as
cosmetic surgery, hair replacement, implants, etc.

I need a catchy title. Thanks

Hello,

Another approach is to make a word from a phrase that will be your tagline…

The ECHO Program:
Elective Consulting for Healthcare Organizations

The CASH Approach:
Consultative Approach to Selling Healthcare

Other:
Consultative Selling

Good Luck,
Jo

Hello,

Thanks a lot. Subtle Selling is a good option,
Could we explore similar ideas, giving a new angle
to the traditional sales training.

Is your training designed to make your attendees realize they ARE, in fact, doing sales work? Or is your training designed to make them better at what they do without first trying to convince them the word "sales" must be embraced? Seems to me your answer should be reflected in your seminar title so as to entice your target effectively.

For instance, why would someone who perceives himself not to be in sales take time to attend a "Subtle Selling" seminar? (Unless the boss makes him go, of course.) You and I and all of us here know that everything relates to sales; but maybe your seminar title could reflect what your potential audience might be thinking:
"The Anti-Sales Sales Seminar," or
"Business Growth for Non-Sales People," or
"It's Not Called 'Sales' But it Still Gets Results," or
"You Don't Have to Be In Sales to Affect the Bottom Line," or
"Relationships Sell: Effective Steps for Client Growth."

The last title above suggests that it is relationships that do the selling, and so the seminar would hopefully address how to build client relationships--thus neatly avoiding any notion that "if you come to my seminar you will learn to SELL SELL SELL" while simultaneously helping attendees sell better anyway.

Thank you everybody.

pghpromo asks a good question:
I'd say that my clients are feeling ok
about the selling part, but they want a
professional angle.

That's why I'm looking for a name
that would reflect that vision.

Do Professionals Need Sales Skills?

I've been working on a conference program for a bunch of folks who ARE in sales and the objective is still the same. Make it sound intersting -- fun.

My theme: Create Chemistry -- has nothing to do with Sales but is a monitaving call to action about what they can accomplish in the year ahead.

In your industry, I would explore some of the great lingo -- and try to have fun with it. Like:

-- Nip & Tuck Your Performance
-- Give Your Bottom Line a Lift
-- Do Your Sales Skills Need a Lift?
-- Can You Enhance Your Bottom Line?
-- Make Your Profits Beautiful!

You get the idea...

Hi there,

Considering your audience, and your desire to help folks who don't think of themselves as sales people understand their role my suggestion is:

Greetings,

I believe, going by your brief, the tag line should not sound sales oriented.. It should be generic tagline with an implied meaning. And since you want it to be catchy:

how about:

Convivial Competentcies: Developing an Apetite for Profit
OR
Convolutional Competencies

Hope you find these useful!

Ishwinder
