We Need Tagline Help!!

We are a marketing firm who has no problem when comes to creating tag lines for our clients however when it comes to our own, we are our worst critic! What sets us apart from our competition is that we are a full service marketing firm that specializes in youth oriented and/or entertainment centered projects. We do event productions, marketing campaigns for films and company's that have youth as their target market. We do product integration for concerts, movies, music videos etc. Our current tag line is "The Premier Youth Entertainment and Marketing Firm", we feel this tag line describes our company but is certainly not memorable. We want a tag line that will make us relevant in the minds of youth and attractive to large corporations as well.

We use the word Origin on our company name because it invokes the "new beginning" ideal. We also want our tag line to sound all-encompassing, bringing it all together.

What do you want the tagline to do for you? Why are you looking for a tagline?

Do you have a formal positioning statement that you've all agreed to? What is the most important benefit your clients will realize when they hire you? I see the "full service" reference, but it's not clear that you're the only company in your business/market that's full service. What CLIENT BENEFIT makes you different from, and better than, your competitors? Why is "full service" a benefit? Does it mean the result will be faster/better/cheaper?

You may have these answers or you may be the shoemaker's kid at a deep level. You need to ask yourselves the same probing questions you'd ask a client. Don't just jump at a slogan or tagline thinking it will solve all your problems.

Finally, how will you evaluate the suggestions we come up with? How will you know when you have the right tagline? If you can define the criteria, there's a much better chance that we'll hit the mark. Without it, it's like throwing darts with a blindfold on. We might hit the target, but it will be pure luck, not directed creativity.

Hi,

How about linking a key 'youth value' with a key customer / corporate 'buying value'...with a tag-line like this

'Some see crazy, we see genius'

Greg

I might try to use internet short speak or text message speak. This would show that you connect to younger generations.
