Need A Name For A Wedding Ring Collection
Posted By: shouq.s on 3/10/2007 9:15 AM (CST) 150 Points
Hello,
I hope all is well,

I really need your help here, we are about to launch a wedding ring and/or wedding ring collection but we are looking for a sophisticated, elegant easy name for it, something that refer to love, passion, commitment, ... but not the name infinity or forever, we need a name like feminine one...

I really appreciate any suggestions...

Thank you

Shouq,

Specifically, what is it you are launching? A new wedding ring design and perhaps a family of wedding ring designs?

I'm thinking like how I might sign a love letter. I can see ads that have a dark background, lit only by candle light, a piece of parchment with three folds - like it was in an envelop, the top folded up slightly, written on with calligraphic letters, a fountain pen beside, and the ring sitting on the parchment at the end with the ending shown in big, loopy, swirly letters:
  • With Love

  • Love Always
  • Forever Yours

  • All My Love Always

  • Truly Yours

The tag line: Helping your love to last a lifetime.

I hope this helps.

Dear Wayde,
we are launching a diamond wedding ring, for the naming I think we need a one word name because when customers come to ask about our new ring or ring collection they cant say I want truly yours ring!! Don't you think...?
I appreciate your fast participation...
Take care

Shouq,

I don't see a problem with a two word name versus a one word name. It allows you to be more distinctive - otherwise, you'll end up with common words.

Apparently, the Diamond Design Company doesn't either because they stole one of my names! http://store.diamonddesignco.com/etcol.html
(Don't use "Forever Yours.")

Diamondsafe Company didn't have trouble with multiple words either - they have a "Diamond in a pearl" collection.

Love Story Diamonds has many multiword collections:
Romeo in Love, Only You, Epic Love

For one word: bliss, amor, forever, joy, blessed, felicity, elation, eternity, always, devotion, ardor, desire, Hera (Greek goddess of love and marriage), Aphrodite (Greek goddess of love and beauty), Venus (Roman goddess of love), Parvati (Indian goddess of love and marriage), Freyja (Norse goddess of love), committre (French for commit)

Before you adopt a goddess name, make sure you read about that goddess to make sure that their story completely reflects the image you want to portray. Many of the goddesses had a "bad side" too.

I think that the Truly Yours ring would have a "ring" to it and me memorable, but the choice, obviously, is trurly yours.

Hi,

I think Wade gave you quite a few god ideas, but let me offer a different approach:

Call the special ring simply:

Amour

it gives a lovely feel, upscale and obivious feminine touch of being in love.

Since the ring is part of a collection I assume it is a man and women's bands:

These I would suggest

Romeo & Juliet Collection, (theme)

then individual matching pairs as:

Young Love
Eternal Passion
Rapture
Enchantment
Felicity

Hope this helps

Good Luck & Happy Marketing ~

Hi shouq.s,

I agree with you that a one one name has power and a real sense of expression. How about "Commitment" or "Eternity" or "Unity"?

How about the O Ring.... just kidding.

I like Wayde's suggestion of Greek names like Aphrodite or Venus.

A one word name: Beyond

As I mentioned previously, careful about whom you name the ring for. If you read your Greek mythology, Aphrodite wasn't exactly the most loyal - she was a tad permiscuous. And Romeo and Juliet - romantic, yes, but think about how the story ended.

JudyJudyJudy - I didn't realize this was a "Judy" with whom I worked previously! Please look up my email and let me know what your doing now-adays. You can find my emal via my website - which you will find on the profile page. And O-ring is better than "Constricting" or "Finally Gotcha."

What do you add when wayde has invaded. put the solution in precision. There is no room to move.

I have done huge jewellery brandings and at some time was near to a huge diamond sightholder and has certain first cut feels about high end jewellery branding.

'Truly Yours' provide you a promise, that the groom will cherish from the bride forever. It, if read carefully, is a feminine promise, though the groom's promise also lie within that. Its the holy matrimony, for pete's sake.

In the other family of names 'Aphroditi' stands out. There's a promise beyond just the soft side of marriage, there's also fire...to light and ignite the union. I gave a twist by bringing the I in the end for branding registration purposes as well for the individualism in the selection of the ring.

Hope it helps.

Always

As in:
"I have an Always ring." "My ring is from the Always Collection." "Your ring - Always" "For when you know it's Always"
