Name For Rewards/discount Card
Posted By: rvbello on 3/26/2007 12:13 PM (CST) 500 Points
Hi Everyone,

I've been searchin for a good name for a rewards/ discount card for a life insurance company for almost a month now and it seems most of the better ones are taken already. Can you help me out with something that communicates "prestige" and "elite- ness".

Thanks in advance for your help.

When I think of Life Insurance I do not think of discount. There are somethings in life you do not think of as a discount. Like medical procedures or life insurance. I certainly wouldn't want a hysterectomy on special with a 20% discount. When I think of Life Insurance I think of affordable protection that will take care of my family if something happens to me. I do want to belong to a company that is either well known or sounds professional and that isn't going to be - Bob's Life Insurance. Can you provide the name of your company so that it may help determine a good name for the card? Without knowing the company name, this is what I came up with so far:

Life's Little Rewards Card

I will have to think about this one a little more....

Good Luck

How about The Golden Life card?
We buy life insurance when we are younger hoping that it won't be needed and that we will live into our golden years.

I also don't understand the concept. Can you explain how a rewards card works with life insurance?

In the meantime, how about this -- it's a play on words, sounding like "The In Crowd" and also has an "In" for insurance:

The In Card

other elite-type words that you might not have considered yet:
Top Notch
Choice or Top Choice
Jet Set
Prime
Select
Model
Crème de la crème
Aristocratic
Exec
Executive
Ivory Tower
World Class
First Class
Upper Crust
Upper Class
Patrician
Virtuoso
Numero Uno

I could go on and on, but it would be much better if I knew how the card works and who you are targeting.

Something simple like

The Rewarding Life Program
or
Life's Rewards Card

I suggest you focus on Living as your concept word.

Call it the LOTTA LIVING card (LOTS OF LIVING, Loving Living, BIG LIFE card)
Tag:Get more out of life!

You are giving them MORE after all, not costing them less. Set up your bonus program to give them EXTRAS instead of discounts. An additional 10% of products so their $1 is worth $1.10. For example: free dessert with dinner. A free filet with their order for Iowa Steaks. I haven't seen anyone use this approach yet and it might be a news generator as well.

when I think of insurance....I think that I am spending alot of money a month and that I barely ever use it (ie I am 20 years old) Example--been paying car insurance every month since I was 16 yet I have never been in an accident, yet I continue to pay just incase I get in an accident. Maybe you should use the some words like

Return, Protection....and tie those into the previous statements everyone made.
