Ladies Shopping Event Marketing Ideas

Posted by tdc2305 on 500 Points
I am the owner of a event planning company who sponsors a Girls Night Out, shopping event where proceeds benefit the March of Dimes.

This is the 2nd year I will be hosting the event and I am looking for ideas to better market the event.
Last year, I did press releases, postcard mailing, emails , event website and small ad in local paper.

Ladies shopping events are on the rise and currently in Delaware, we are not saturated with these type of events.
So I am looking to get more exposure and better attendance for the specific target audience of women age 21-45 with an income median of 40-85k.

What other ways can I reach the target audience?

To get a better idea of the type of event, you can visit the event website at www.especiallyforyouevents.com/gno

Thank You
Tiffany C.

Here are some groups to consider targeting: women's (sporting) teams, (professional) clubs, gyms, the Chamber of Commerce, medical professionals, and the local mother's club.

Make a buzz about ( PUBLIC BIDDING-maybe for a gown/dress) where in you can invite some popular persona to donate their clothes and join the bidding.

You can get their attention by emphasizing on the ADVOCACY CAMPAIGN on where will ur proceeds go.

You can also give out FREE PLANNER where in -it has COUPONS in famous CLOTH COMPANY for a discounts etc.

Or maybe -invite a TEXTILE company plus some sewer so they can
purchase the fabric on the spot and it will be SEW there right away.

You can give a free service offering like ( FREE MAKE OVER) -like haircut and make up -on the spot.

    Goodluck

You are probably doing this, but just in case - using all the sponsors and other companies involved to email or inform their relevant clients regarding the event.

    Other suggestions:
Using testimonials from those who attended last year in PR, literature, email etc
Discount or gift (from one of the sponsors) for those who attended last year and bring or refer a friend/s to this year's event
If you know someone in the target market who has a social networking page to spread the word

    Hope this helps
    Regards

Create an email blast and send it with attachment of the Celebrity/Famous Personality who will give or donate her stuff-by then you will create a word of mouth referral.

Tell them -the chance to meet personally their IDOL plus autograph signing and a chance to bid and win their Idols apparels.

You can also do flyering in high end malls or areas where your target market are

Never underestimate the power of college girls. Sororities are always looking for community events to work with. You would hit the younger side of your target market. Plus, you could encourage a mother/daughter night out to include the rest of your target group.
