Name Ideas For A Clothing Boutique

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
Hi. I am in the very early stages of opening a clothing boutique, and I'm trying to come up with a catchy name. I won't really have any competition (besides major retail chains), and I will be located directly on a riverfront. Right next door to me will be a tanning salon/beauty salon. I will specialize in mostly in Brazilian jeans. I will also carry purses, jewellery, shoes, shirts, jackets, and possibly a small amount of bathing suits. I came up with a very unoriginal name, "The Unique Boutique." Is it a bad idea to name it after the street it's on? The word "street" does rhyme with boutique. Is that corny?
Please, any ideas would be appreciated. As I said, I am in the very early stages of this. I would like a high-end boutique, and I don't want to flub with the business name.

Thank you!

Street boutique is a bit corny. The Riviera might be a good classy name?

I don't think it's a bad idea to incorporate the name of the street you're on. Instead of ____ street boutique, I suggest Couture on _____. I don't think the name "street" is necessary.
What city are you located in? What's the name of the river? Perhaps there is something there as well.+

How about something fun like "Girl from Ipanema"... Or other similarly Brazilian themed names to capitalize on your Brazilian products. Or "Riverfront Boutique"- if that's not already taken.

Name Street Boutique is cutesy. But I don't think that Street has to be a part of the name.

I like the idea suggested by casey to play off of Rio as well.
    Casa Rio (house river)
    Palácio Rio (palace river)
Rio do Sol (river of sun)
(these may not be grammatically correct in portuguese.)

These are all very good ideas. Thank you for all of the brainstorming. You've given me good ideas and names to play around with. The most I've come up with so far is, "Brazilian Flair," so, all of your ideas have been most helpful.
I'm leaving this question open for now to see if it generates any more responses/ideas.

    Thank you!
