Did you read the most recent edition of MarketingProfs? It had a good article in it called Five Deadly Sales Letter Mistakes.

Did you use the link to Search Questions on the right side of this page? Similar questions have been asked here before. Try the keywords "sales letter" or just "letter."

Have you ever read the Important Guidelines page? The whole KHE community helped establish those guidelines, and you should pay attention to item two. Also, please fill out your profile page so we can learn more about you. That helps us provide you with better answers!

Last of all, you will probably find good examples of sales letters on any of the websites that provide email marketing services. One site is www.constantcontact.com.

Good luck!

Several of these sites can give "examples" of letters - regarding the "strategy" of letters, if you are sending a relatively large number of letters, I would suggest that you TEST, TEST, TEST.

Using your examples, create an initial letter. Send out two versions, A and B, and see which works better. If you keep testing and improving and refining your message, and ask your prospects for their comments on your letters, you can have letters which get better and stronger and more effective over time.

Hello sjcapellan *

Here's a nice link to some good tips in writing letters

http://www.bizine.com/writing-sales-letters.htm

You have many links above too to keep you busy. I'll comment on the strategy behind a good marketing letter.

I should content paraphrase my gut feel or general understanding of the problem related to the reader. THe You attitude, understanding the plight/ embarassments/difficulties of the client is paramount. The tone should be friendly. The content should not be verbose as it will leave the reader in a tangle. Be open, genuine and honest with your feelings and very often you get rewards.

And, always back up your words with deeds. If the deeds are more than what you have promised, you are a great marketer.

Wish ihad seen this post earlier

Hope these thoughts help!!

While samples may be great starters to get the process rolling for a marketing letter, you should ask yourself these strategic questions: 1) Who is your audience? 2) What is your purpose?. These two simple questions will then allow you to formulate the structure of the letter. What do you the letter to do? The letter should include a well-timed call-to-action if it's trying to sell. The term "marketing letter' is too broad without having more specifics.

Yes, please share with me (us) what your product or service is, who you would like to target, what is special about your product or service, and what you would like to have happen as a result of sending out this "marketing" letter.

There are almost as many marketing letters as there are grains of sand on a beach. (Isn't that from Omar Khayam?)

Give us a few more details on the industry, product and target market and let's see if we can give you something more specific to your needs...
