Focus on how you meet there needs and try to play down (or at least, don't focus on) the areas which they may not like (the breaks and frequent job changes).

Think about your job changes and breaks as a positive thing and position them that way. You have broad experience in the different ways companies work and have taken time off to do things important/learn something new, etc.

If you think these are negatives, they will come across that way. Focus on why what you have done is positive and valuable to this new employer.

    Best.

My concern would be to establish whether the gaps implied perhaps a temporary loss of personal freedom due to some kind of impropriety. I

If you have a good reason (make it positive) or even no reason (I wanted a break to do x for personal reasons), then don't dwell on the gap, dwell on the enrichment you gained from whatever filled the gap.

Of course, if you were really in jail, maybe your parole officer can tell you how best to handle the explanation.

Everyone has lots of employers these days, 3-5 years per job is average, gaps are not uncommon. Imagine Alfred E. Neumann with no gaps in his teeth! Sometimes the gaps make the whole better.

    Hope this helps.
