Software Marketing Vertical Manager (staff level)
Requires 5+ years experience developing and executing industry-specific marketing programs. In-depth understanding of industry trends. Knowledge of corporate IT or product development processes desired. High Tech or Telecom vertical preferred. BA/BS required (MBA preferred).
Position reports to the VP of Marketing, the successful candidate will play a proactive role in analyzing, defining and differentiating company's products and marketing messages/materials for assigned market(s). You will be involved with products through all stages of the life cycle, representing the market(s): Sales, Marketing, Development, etc.
Overall responsibilities will include the development of market plans in support of company strategy (whole product plan/ performance, analysis and interpretation of market and competitive analysis/ communication throughout organization); creation of sales tools (value presentations, product demos) for assigned market(s); translating this insight into marketing and promotional programs and market-specific product direction; providing product management, product design and sales support; developing and maintaining customer / prospect database.
*Keys - manager is looking for someone with strong demonstrated analytical skills as opposed to a marcom person.
