Taglines For Quick Services And Food Offer
Posted By: flamez* on 10/25/2004 7:19 PM (CST) 250 Points
We have started a quick service restaurant. Food offer is hot roast rolls, great burgers, chicken and salads. Need to communicate each of these in flyers and instore ads.
Looking for memorable and clever taglines.

I think you need to provide a little more information or else you will be creating one of the classic marketing blunders: putting tactics before the strategy.

You need to think about your positioning and ultimately, your competitive point of differentiation. I've worked as a VP of Marketing for several restaurant chains and your thought process is not uncommon for a restaurant operator. You live in the here and now and need to make something happen fast. However, I can tell you from experience that a little time invested now on the frontside will save you a lot of headaches (and constant switching of messages) later.

At least you have to let us know about your positioning statement. It's the central factor of your strategy.

There's the slogan of Apollo impressing me: "Where the best becomes better". You can have a tagline as "The best gets better 'cause it's quicker". "The best" means "the most delicious" here.

It's just a simple example. Post your positioning here then I and others can give you some useful taglines.

What's the name of your restaurant?

Are you looking for a tagline for the restaurant or for the menu items you listed?

If it's for the latter... are you actually hoping we'll write some ad copy for a generic salad or burger? Without knowing more about your food, I don't know where to start.

The name of the restaurant is FLAMEZ Grill. Serves Griiled Chicken, Burgers, Fries and Roasts. Gourmet salads.

Offer is one of uncompromsing quality in a quick service environment. Mainly take out - limited in store seating. Taglines required for the experience of visting and eating at Flamez - and the surprise at the food and service quality. Consider branding the Burgers, Hot Filled Rolls - Roasts etc individualy - and one overall tag line for the restaurant.

"You'll hurry through our line, but not our food."

"Quality food really can be fast."

"Quality food, quick service. We know you don't have time to settle for less."

or

"Quality food, quick service -- you don't have time to settle for less."

Tagline idea:
Outdoor flavor, here and now

Menu items:
Backyard burgers
Summerfresh salads
Footballers (filled rolls)

I don't know what country you're in, and I realize you're not a fast food joint, but let me tell you that one of my favorite business taglines for a restaurant. Taco Bell -- Think outside the bun.

FLAMEZ Grill

...fine dining - fast

...fine dining that's fast - eat in or at home

...for fine dining that's fast

...for dining that's fast - and fine

Damn, that's making me hungry and it's lunch time here in UK! More later if I get inspired (on a full stomach.)

In the meantime, bon appetit.
