Tagline For Open House Event For Online University

Posted by ecoe3 on 125 Points
We are an Online University and recently moved to a new location in a new community. We are hosting an Open House event and would like to have a tagline for our event. We are thinking of doing a back-to-school theme and would like to somehow incorporate that into our tagline. Any ideas would be appreciated!

I think you may brand your event as "Login"

    "Login" would reflect the following:
    1. It represent that you are online (University)
    2. It represents that you are inviting (students/members)
    3. It represents and Open event.

It would help if we knew more about your university, including:
As an online university - why would your new location/community matter to the local population?
Who are you trying to attract to your event?
What's the benefit to them in attending your open house?

Thank you for the responses. To add more clarification, we would like to invite local community members and establish business relationships with other local businesses. The benefit would be that they can learn about our institution and spread the word about our university. We will also have raffles! :)

Simply asking people to come to your event to learn more isn't sufficient to attract disinterested people. What's special about your students? What skills do your students have that local businesses care about? Can you involve local businesses in providing internships, being guest speakers, etc.?

Yes, we are trying to connect with local businesses in order to connect students with internships and jobs.

    Tagline: Be a Mentor!

    Invitation might take this direction:

We're "freshmen" in town, and hope you'll stop by our Open House for drinks and prizes, during which you might school us in local customs, tutor us about town heroes, and give us some notes on how to be great corporate citizens.

Thank you for the response. I really like the clever play on words and the "freshmen" in town idea.
