Name For Handmade Gemstone Jewelry Company
7/20/2011 at 2:08 PM ET
I am designing and making all gemstone jewelry and am looking for name for the company.
The designs will vary from petite pieces to statement pieces. I will only use real, semi-precious stones, not crystal.
I would prefer not have my name in the business title but rather something that has a feel to it that sets it apart from the norm.
The designs will vary as well, some elegant, some sporty, not one particular category or style.
I am Swedish and thought of doing something with a Swedish name but that might not be easy to remember or pronounce.
This will start out being sold on line, webpage and sites that sell this type of item and eventually, hopefully sold in boutiques.
I would appreciate any suggestions and/or questions!
Thank you in advance!

I submit my standard naming suggestion here.
Go to the Google Keyword tool and see what search terms are being used most often for your kind of jewellry in your area. Let us say you are in LA and a search term used a lot were "custom jewellery, LA." Register the associated domain names and look into how important sub-domains are for SEO (search engine optimization).
That is the computer/Internet/SEO friendly part of your name. Now you need to add a human friendly part to it, some humor or charm. You want to make the name catchier, easier to remember - for your customers.
Personally, I liked the suggestion "sparkle." However what counts is that the targeted customers like the name. Consider running some kind of naming contest on the social media. The winner gets a custom designed piece!
