Loyalty Redemptions

Posted by mothicy on 250 Points
I work in a foreign bank and my portfolio involves customer loyalty and points redemption. I have to develop strategies on how our customers can use their points for redemption.

Some of the efforts I have put in are as follows:
a) Work with local malls to allow customers to pay with points. This is the more difficult strategy because it will take longer buy-in from the malls and its tenants. We are also looking to work with big chains electrical stores, supermarkets to allow pay with points.

b) Direct mail redemption catalogue which are sent to customers. We have 2 channels to allow customers to redeem, 1. Online, 2. Call-in

c) Events ranging for mass to exclusive to allow different segments of customers to redeem their points.

d) Worked with hotel loyalty programs, airmiles transfer for customers to convert their points.

e) Analysing customers' spending and redemption behaviour to develop targeted campaigns to selected customer segments.

However, these are conventional ways and I need to develop new strategies to promote points redemption.

Does anyone have any idea what other types of activities or efforts I can work on? Or is there any case studies to share that I can learn from?

Thanks a bunch!

You have a good list of strategy and I add one more to that.

As customer I would like that on my next fuel purchase in gas station, i get discount. I pay by credit card but when bill comes end of the month I see a discount figure. So I pay less by cheque/check next time.
