Name For Weekly Health & Wellness Newsletter

Posted by pamelad on 200 Points
Upscale Health and Wellness club needs a better identity of the newsletter. We are transitioning from a 20 page monthly .pdf version to a weekly html version (YAY!).

Looking for something that will appeal to all our membership (some older members have been with us 35 years, we have many families as well as some younger and professional crowd).

We are more than just a gym or fitness club, our mission statement is "Expanding Wellness, Extending Lives."

So far I've come up with: Wellnews, Wellness Matters, Fitwords, Healthbeat, and Focus on Wellness, but none seem right yet.

First congratulations on your obvious success! Thirty-five years is awesome.

Here are a few ideas I'll throw out-

    The Pulse
    Check Up
    Check It
    Fit News
    Health Edge

It's not what seems right to you that counts. It's what seems right to your readers, what grabs their attention. And unless you have a good reason to change the existing name - other than the format change - don't change the name. Changes tend to leave bewildered people by the waywide. You may want to change names later, but for now consider waiting 'til well after the format change.

As for your suggessted names, any would appear to work well...but consider changing Wellnews to WellNews to make it easier to decipher. Ditto with FitWords. My personal preference is Wellness Matters because it both makes an important statement and the content of the newsletter will include matters pertaining to Wellness. It's also the most likely to be easiest understand by all segments of your readers if and when you make a name change.

Our current Newsletter is named "Club Name" Newsletter, so I doubt it will really bewilder anyone that much. We need an actual name. Thank you for your other feedback, any other suggestions?

I like Health Edge and The Pulse, I'll put those on my list.
