    Twana

firstly thanks for telling us a little about yourself and your boutique.

The advice of those to follow will focus on the fact that catchy names will not bring traffic on its own, they work only when someone has seen your website. Please give good thought as to how you will be found via the search engines like Google. Sometimes diligent work with a blog will help immensely.

I would also like to know where you are and who your intended customers are - as all this will help refine a tagline that encourages your better clients.

    For a local feel

    "Twana's Fashions"
    "Twana's Old and New"
    "Hodge and Podge Fashions" ;-)

"Bringing you up to date in vintage fashions"

Hope this helps for a start

So who is in your target audience? Where do they live? Where do they learn about businesses like yours? How will they learn about your business?

The more specific you can be about the target audience the more likely we are to come up with a great name for you. Have you actually interviewed people in your target audience? How do they decide when/where to shop? What brands (in other, related categories) do they buy? What words do they use when they discuss their clothing purchases and preferences?

Also, if you have not created a business plan for your new business that would be important for you. Coming up with the name shouldn't be your first priority. You should probably start with a very clear and specific definition of your prime target audience and the important and unique benefit you will deliver to them. Why should they buy from you instead of your competitors? What makes you different from, and better than, the other thousands of online boutiques?

You do not have a dilemma, you simply need to make a decision. Similarly, you do not need anything "catchy" you simply need a name that aligns the style of your idea buyer with the fashion lines you'll be offering.

If the style you're offering is "uptown celebrity chic", why not simply call your store "Uptown Celebrity Chic"?

    "Twana's Downtown Fashions"

    "Twana's Downtown Chic"

    Are we getting anywhere? M
