One way to quickly get your page in the list to be ranked for Google is to download the Google tool bar and install it. Then view you page with the tool bar turned on.

Search Engines like Google, are starting to pay a lot fo attention to blogging, it is after all social commentry and so blog links are also improving the rankings.
