How Can I Advertise My Service To Videographers?
Posted By: wam215* on 12/19/2004 8:12 PM (CST) 250 Points
I have started a service that handles fulfillment for videographers and am looking to market my service. I am looking for ideas on targeting this audience.

wam, can you give us a bit more information?

What does "fulfillment for videographers" entail?

Is there a particlular breed of videographer you're targeting?

Are you going after a localized region (i.e., Waxahachie, Texas) or a broad geographic area (i.e., Brazil)?

The more we know, the better help you'll get here. Welcome aboard!

I agree, a little more detail will really help us focus our response.

In broad terms, there is probably some way of determining which type of videographers are more likely to require your services. This will allow you to target them for more efficient ad efforts.

You can purchase lists of businesses by type and geography from list vendors (www.infousa.com is an example). If you have a narrower focus and are willing to spend some time you can also develop your own list from an internet directory listing for videographers.

As for introductions, the first thing that comes to mind is a business letter. It is less likely to get lost in the clutter of junk mail and portrays you as professional. Ensure that it is well written and proofed for grammar, tone and content. An incentive offer is up to you, but find some way to differentiate yourself.

Ongoing, stick to the vehicles that are suited to meeting your marketing plan goals. Advice may also be available from your local SBA chapter, retired execs often are available to volunteer insights.

Best of luck!

To market your service you need to post your messages where these videographers are, That is have your messages at the video shops, or shops where video and accesories are sold.
These people would have also advertised in many place if yes get there contact info and pay them a visit. or give a seminar of videography and invite all these people to join it for free. Give them some knowledge and food at the seminar before getting into selling your own product.
If you provide more info. it would be better

I think the best place to start is at a List management service such as infoUSA. Your prospects are very targeted. Create a direct mailer - speak their language - and send it out to all the videographers on the list.
