Hi Sad_6462

No one plan will fit all.

Tailor your marketing plan for your particular project and ensure it is aligned with your company's overall corporate & marketing objectives.

As a starting point you can get more info at http://www.mplans.com

Hope this helps.

What does your software program accomplish within the environment?

Perhaps you won't have to create a marketing plan, maybe modify an existing one. If you truly work for a successful software company then perhaps there are marketing plans in your company archives that have been developed for other software programs. You could probably use those as your "point of departure" and reference.

The experts would like to help but you have given them very little information to work with. Has the Human Resource Management software already been developed and does a "launch plan" exist? There must have been some "justification" as to why the software was created.....it wouldn't make sense to invest the money in developing software without serious consideration to its marketing and income potential.

You can find a template to creating a marketing plan at:

http://www.quickmba.com/marketing/plan/

IF you product is relatively new, then I wouldn't worry as much about the SWOT as the 4 Ps. If you have some history/data to work with, then you might cosider a SWOT and PEST analysis.

You should start you marketing plan by first looking at the business strategy. Go to the marketing objectives and develop strategies that will enable the objectives to be met.

Any of the templates mentioned above will help. Why did you ask for .PPT templates? Write your plan as a Word document, if you have to present it later, extract the key points to a PowerPoint slide show. Please don't try to write the marketing plan in PowerPoint. It will end in tears...
