Since this position is specific to Atlanta, you may have trouble finding someone who is non-local to temporarily relocate for a temporary position. Have you considered testing the waters for a virtual manager, since this is for an online community? I've had some experience with managing online communities and doing virtual consulting, I'd even be willing to travel to Atlanta to meet with your staff and get a feel for what you need. However, if you need a daily or even weekly face-to-face, you probably need to limit your search to someone who would be willing to commute.

Thanks, Debi Brady, Writing & Marketing Consultant

I would suggest looking at similar companies and suppliers in the Atlanta area who may not be doing so well and seeing if either:

1. They have any employees they are likely to be laying off and would be interested in a contract to perm opportunity

2. Make some calls to the people doing this role and see if they are interested in an opportunity - but you will really have to present a compelling reason as to why people would leave a 'secure' role for a 3 month opportunity.

Just my toonies worth - good luck!

Do a Google search on freelance and contract work. there are many sites out there that cater to short term work. Good luck.

Cheers
