Icons And Website Design - Please Give Ur Feedback

Hi Experts,

Please visit this site (removed) and voice out your opinion about the site design and also about the product (ICONS). Before getting into the site let me introduce iconplant.com. Iconplant provides graphical icons to Small and medium software and web designing companies. We have conceptualized and designed icons for different industries and will be conceptualizing more for other industries too by doing extensive research. These icons can be used in various industry softwares and websites for high interactivity and aesthetic appearance.For example: Consider the software application or a website for HOTEL AND RESERVATION. Icons can be used for this kind of software and websites and we have conceptualized icons by studying some softwares and also by brainstorming and we have conceptualized and designed many icons for different industries. Our USP is the QUALITY and PRICING. We offer high quality icons (As we follow Microsoft XP style Icons guidelines) for an affordable price.

Please furnish us with some constructive feedback on CONCEPTUALIZED icons and its design exhibited in this website and also let me know about the website design. It would also help us if experts reveal some new strategy to market this product.

    Good morning!
    I want to start by saying the icons are fabulous. Obviously over time, you will add additional ones to the mix. I believe that website design is clean and easy to navigate around. With that said I only have a few minor adjustment recommendations:
    - On the home page there is no good explanation of what it is that the icons can do for people. I had to go to the FAQ's to find out. The average person won't spend that much time doing it.
    - I would put 2-3 icons in the free downloads section per industry (obviously some with appear in multiple industries) and push for them to try them out in their application to see how easy the are to use.
    - The cost on your icons is exceptionally low. If you are going to stay at a low price point put it on the home page as a selling feature. Ex. All stock icons just $10 each!!! or custom icons from $15 each.
    - Add some sales copy that describes the benefits of using icons (they are eye catching, relay a message, etc...)

    Hey cool icons,
    I think the site is O.K.
    The design looks like I typed in the wrong url: name, and was taken to a generic website, where the domain name is for sale or something.
    I would focus on a little bit more design; focus on artistic rather than only clean and smooth. Need to incorporate all forms. It is clean and smooth, but looks fake.
    I can't find an example of a generic template ite right now, but I always run across them.
    Keep the overall header and content area, change the
    area at top where it has icons and these words, "Industry wise categorization of xp icons saves your time and money in purchasing the right icons for your software applications. FREE ICONS DOWNLOAD "
    There put a brief explanation in big words with a graphic. Use Photoshop and do a collage of some icons kinda wavy looking, and have the words say professional ICONS for internet professionals. This is an idea, a start. Take it and run with it. But again the icons are cool, the design looks fake.

    If you haven't already I would market big time online. Affiliates with Photoshop tutorials, etc. Clip Art sites etc. Brushes etc.

    Maybe place some ads. in Graphic/web graphic publications. You need to make friends.

    Hi Aravind Ramesh,

    Your site is very nice and beautiful to see. I am sure you are getting good business through your website. Now days these types are designs are very famous on website and in use for business purpose.

    Following things will give you a short description what I am expecting from your website which I unable to find:

    1. Current business profile in brief
    2. Current project / Open sources – to see company strength
    3. Website name – should be large font (it will look nice)

    To be honest, I don’t want to comment on pricing, but check your competitors. Please check the following website and compare from your own experience.
