Wanted - Web Design Company With Understanding Of Innovation & Desire For $200k

Posted by Anonymous on 1000 Points
This is a long post so move on if you don't have time :-) I've been trying to get a web page designed to help me sell the updated version of my book 'The Money Tree & How to Grow One - Creating Success in Your Business'. It's aimed at small to medium businesses and would fit pretty much any country in the world where free enterprise is allowed.

The person I've been working with and I have decided to part ways (I sacked him for lack of responsiveness).

Here's what I want - I want to be able to pay you about $200,000 (AUD) over three years (sooner would be great) BUT its HOW I go about paying you that is critical.

I'll pay you $1 for every book sold through the website. At 10,000 books you'll get a bonus of $3,500. At 50,000 books you'll get ANOTHER bonus of $21,000 and at 100,000 books you'll get ANOTHER bonus $75,500

You do the math - 100,000 books at $1 plus the bonuses.

So a couple of things - I want to hear from people WITH EXPERIENCE in designing good sites - I want examples of what you've designed. I might need you to host the site too and I do expect that you will also keep track of how well the site is coming up in search engines etc and make adjustments accordingly.

Yes 'terms and conditions' will apply and a formal agreement will need to be signed off regarding ownership of code, upgrades to site content, staged 'rollout' periods for partnership, shared access to sales 'counters' etc

Send your initial expression of interest to amindcoach@netscape.net with the heading 'Interested? - You Bet!'. Explain a bit about what you think you can do but nothing extensive at this stage.

Now the next part is how I divvy up these 1000 points. The person with the most effective way to explain how I divide the points will win them all!

Give the points to the folks who have been recently "ripped-off" by premature answer acceptances.

Here is a list I have noticed in the last few days:

    Yourself
    gerardodada
    Jim Deveau/Catalyst
    tjh
    Vevolution
    Den E V

Provided they respond, I would divvy the points between them.

Marcus, what a brilliant approach! I hope you'll attract some talented Web design candidates ...and lots o' readers. I might forward your post to two bright young teams here in Texas.

    Curious: Is it an e-book?

Just curious - did this arrangement ever work out? I've done a google search looking for your book - no luck.

    Thanks -

Funny that Dave should ask... I was just thinking about this post from Marcus and wondering the same thing!
