FREE POINTS EXTRAVAGANZA!!

You know, I have a lot of points just sitting here not being used. Currently, there is nothing else for us to use them for other than questions.

So, Anyone who can tell me why they need more points (people with over 1000 points excluded), preferably those who wish to ask more questions but used up all their points, get to split them with everyone else.

I will close this down in 24 hours so it doesn't get spread too thin.

Good Luck and expect one of these every month!

Blaine, you are too much! Now... won't this hurt the site's market for point sales? Thank goodness your 1,000 point ceiling will prevent some non-experts from being ranked way up there with the KHE gods 'n goddesses. ;]

I've been saving my points to ask humdinger questions that seem worthy of expert time (see the latest at https://www.marketingprofs.com/ea/qst_question.asp?qstID=1779 ). Hey, wasn't that a sneaky way to get some of my own mileage on your ticket?

The main reason I haven't posted more questions is because I like to think through them carefully first. As opposed to posting answers, which I'm inclined to deliver off the cuff. (Winking again.)

LOL...From what I understand, people aren't buying points anyway! They just create new user names and start over!

You guys crack me up! LMAO

I might close this before the 24 hours depending on the number of responses or it will defeat the purpose!

Well, doesn't say much for my spelling! (Extraveganza)..LOL

Jett - I sugest you keep the question open until the points to be awarded are below some set point (say a max of 1000 per person, perhaps even lower like 500 per person). This way you don't throw the KHE expert area out of whack by awarding lots of points for folks not answering questions.

Moderator Val - is there some way to set up a method of donating points between members?

    Peter-

Believe me...I am very keen on that issue, but thanks for bringing it up!

I think I will set the rule now.

Once I get enough responses to reward everyone with at least 500 points, first come-first serve, before the 24 hour period is up, I will close it out.

As of this moment, there are 10 more slots available.

    Multiple replies do not count.

(Man, I wasn't planning on so much legislature..LOL)

    Good Luck!

P.S. If you are brand spankin new to the forum, please explain why you need more points.

Not a requirement, but a request.

    Thank you!

I've been part of the forum for only a few weeks and would like to ask more questions regarding our new internet business but I don't have that many points 262.

What a great website! Thank you in advance for any points that you may provide our struggling enterprise.

    mbarber-

That is a great idea! I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what to do with them. I have several thousand left and will try a couple different things.

The posts about different ways to award and share points combined with mbarber's suggestion, makes me wonder how MP would feel about me hosting an "open mike" forum question that stays open for say 5 days and is a place where anyone can add to the discussion, ask different questions, raise separate topics, and have everyone join in to respond...kind of a "free question" question. Very much like a chat room.

But I don't want to lose the integrity of the sponateous subjects that arise when I do this.

jett i would like some point please. i have been using the forum to help me with my marketing projects for 1st year marketing and i found this forum really helpful.

Have you noticed the increase of people form OTAGO UNIVERSITY in New Zealand since i joined?

that was because i got up in front of the first year lectures and told them about this site.

maybe you could add a reward for when someone refer people to this site and they join up with 100 points. that might mean an increase in membership and an increase in awareness

    you rule

thanks for all your work in helping people

    Excellent sweetasman01 !!!

    Thank you for your comments!

Actually, you can get points for referring people. Click on the "Invite Colleagues" link to your upper right. You get points for everyone you refer.

You also get points for responding to this post!

Good luck to you and I hope to see more of you and your fellow students.

Val-The "open Mic" question would be more of a high point topic instigator (like this), where people could respond to the main topic, exapnd and feed off of it to raise new questions, and even post an unrelated concern as well. After thinking about it and the point system, I think I will leave them in this fashion...24 hour duration with the ability to spark ideas about a particular subject. Maybe I can hold a "best response vote" or some kind of contest. Not sure yet, but whatever I do I will run it by you and Allen first so as not to rock the boat too much!

    KKJ- Sure..You barely made it!

    Anu- Welcome as always!

    Well, there ya go!

The people who were not rewarded points notified me they were just commenting and not in need.

Keep your eyes peeled for the next one and feel free to post any ideas here!
