250 points to the first one to solve it and post the answer here.

    Dear Puru

    Thats fine, but you've got to post what you think is the answer on Deremiah's question!!

    You might also tell the others why it appears to have more letters than Happy Bithday

    Best wishes

    Hmm, well, nobody seems to have got this before the original question closed, so here I am with an answer:

    This confused me because I'm used to octal codes which obviously this isn't.

    2,48,41,50,50,79,20,42,49,72,74,48,44,41,79,3

    But on closer inspection it is actually ASCII using those new-fangled hex codes and it says:

    {STX}HAPPY{SPACE}BIRTHDAY{ETX}

    And it appears to have more characters because of the space, end and start text codes.

    Cheers

    Spot on Chris and Oops, PURU hasn't posted on the happy birthday site to tell Shelly and Deremiah and Chris supplied an even more accurate answer so the award for nerd of the month has to go the Chris.

    Sorry PURU and even sorrier Chris for making you reveal your nerd-side. Even more sorry to Shelly and Deremiah for nerding the posting.

    Steve
