"it's A Wonderful Life" Please Help!

Posted by Harry Hallman on 9561 Points
IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE is a charity event taking place in Atlanta on December 11, 2009.

The event benefits the Atlanta Community Food Bank and the Atlanta branch of Toys for Tots.

Taking a cue from Randall Montalbano’s recent post “Thanks For Everything...may I Ask One More Favor?” I am offering all of my MarketingProfs points for your help.

If you live in Atlanta and will to tell your friends and clients about our event I will allow you to share these points. It’s on the honor system. Our goal is to generate as much revenue as possible for the Atlanta Community Food Bank, who is in dire need, and as many un-wrapped toys as possible for Toys for Tots. Both groups are really feeling the pinch this year.

Here is the event Web site [inactive link removed] .

Please pass it along and become one of those points of light that Randall mentioned. Thanks to Randall for his inspiration.

    That's a great thought, Harry!

I just organized a neighborhood food drive for North Fulton Community Charities, and we'll be doing another one before Christmas, so we're both on the same page here!

Lots of empty shelves and stockings this year...

Even if we may have a little less than before, we still have more than most and so many, and it's our duty -- and privilege -- to give something (ANYTHING) back.

I hope to go to that event on the 11th.

    Keep up the good work.

Oh, and Harry -- no points necessary, please!

Great Paul. It is really important to help these cahrities this year. Well, every year really.

Will you be able to spread the word?

Roger that -- I'll post a link to the site on FB and let friends and neighbors know that we're going on the 11th.

Okay Paul, I appreciate that, but I will give them all out so I want you to be part of that.

We've just moved to the area and glad to get involved in our new community. I haven't been to Buckhead -- thanks for giving us a great reason! We'll be there!

    Dear Harry,

Although I don't live in Atlanta I've just sent out a tweet to the 1,500 people that follow me on Twitter asking them to support your event.

I hope this helps and please, no points necessary.

Harry - if you haven't already, I suggest contacting People TV Atlanta (Cable Channel 24): https://www.peopletv.org/

If they have a community calendar - ask to be placed on it.

If you can, get a crew to cover your event for later broadcast. That'll not only help your future advertising for the event, but also have year-round benefit (if you upload the edited video on video sharing sites).

No points necessary. Best of luck.

Jay, that is a good idea. I will get the PR folks working with us to do something.

    Thanks for the idea.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to keep this question up until the event is over on the 11th. Hopefully, some other Atlanta people will see it and want to attend or send to thier contacts.

I appreciate the help everyone has provided.
