Need/want To Start A Blogging Network

Posted by debbie on 250 Points
I am looking to work with an existing blogging network platform (unlike IZEA's Social Spark platform). I'd really like to get a list of all the blogging sites by category to build professional blogging opportunities.

Does anyone have such a connection? I am more than willing to start a blogging directory service, but I would love help in spreading the word that such a thing exists.

Ideas?

Why not simply create a 'Blog Roll', then sort by topic or core interest?

No need to recreate what others have done:

Thanks for the good responses. I have seen these directories before, but what these don't tell you is who has them and how to contact them.

Would it make sense to have blog directories along with contact info of who actually runs these blogs for easier contact - sort of like an online rolodex for bloggers?

It would make approaching these bloggers easier when you have clients who have products they'd like reviewed and such.

    Dear Debbie,

I have a list of over 300 social network sites, AND a list of the top 200 most read blogs online. I'm currently in the process of putting all this information together in a special social media mastermind report that will be a minimum of 20 pages of solid content.

To placed on the priority wait list for this report (which I'm going to be making available within the next week or so) please contact me off forum by clicking on my name above. There you'll find an e-mail address, as well as the URL of my modest blog, from which you can also sign up to receive my weekly newsletter.

If you choose the latter option you'll need to double opt in to confirm you want to receive information from me.

    I hope this helps.

basic ques - why would some one come to you for that information? What would be your monetisation strategy? Remember most of the bloggers do not blog by their primary identity so even when you a person's name, you wont be able to just search the directory and come with right match.

classifying the blogs by a category and matching them with blogging person would be better idea. maybe you can add a msg or texting feature to bring more value for clients
