Botanical Extract Marketing

Posted by Anonymous on 325 Points
I work as BDM for a Botanical extracts and Ingredients manufacturer in India.

We manufacture quality botanical extracts like Green tea, Liquorice, Green coffee, Senna, Rosemary, Withania, Indian Gooseberry, Gymnema, Natural caffeine, etc which are going into food&Beverage, Nutraceutical and also in pharma segments.

We have complete back end processes to ensure traceability of the product till farm for raw material, cGMP compliant manufacturing facility (in fact we have a dedicated manufacturing facility for Green tea extracts) and are currently under implementation of ISO 22000-2005.

We have considerable domestic sales and now, we are in search of customers in EU and US. We are in touch with some of distributors who are willing to distribute our products but are asking for extremely low price.

We also participate in industry events like Vitafoods and Supplyside. Still we have not come across end users who are interested in our ingredients.

If the marketing gurus can guide me to identify few potential end users who use these ingredients in their products, the help will be greatly appreciated.

How does the price you are after compare to the price which other manufacturers sell at in the US and EU? If your price is higher, you will need to sell the buyers on the benefits of your product over the others on the market (presumably the traceability, cGMP, and ISO certification).
