What To Charge To Run Customers' Adwords?

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
We are a B2B company looking at offering a new service to our customers...setting up and running Google AdWords campaigns for our products that they sell online to the general public.

We are not in any way a marketing firm or ad agency, and not experts, but we have experience running adWords campaigns, and thought this would be a nice bonus for our customers who don't have the know-how or time to do this.

How much should we charge? I'm thinking monthly per campaign, but have no idea how much to charge.

Most PPC company's charge a minimum management fee depending on the hours dedicated to the project then after a price point of the client's ppc spend they take a percentage of total spend some range from 3% - 10% .

    Hope this helps

What scares me is you said you were not a marketing company, but you have run some Adwords programs. The world doesn't need another inexperienced online marketing service.

Anyone can run an Adwords program, but it takes marketing experience to do it correctly. I know you don't want to hear this, and if not then do as one responder suggested- use a outside source.

Thanks for all the responses. While we are not a marketing company, I am a marketer (running our MarComm dept.), so this is in my realm.

Despite knowing that yes, I would not be the best person to do this, the idea is coming from up top and there is no way to get around it. Unless this blows up and is hugely successful enough to warrant hiring someone else, it will be me, running the program...

So again, any other ideas on what to charge...actual $$ amounts, would be appreciated :) Our clients are retail stores (both brick & motor and e-commerce), mostly based in rural America.
