Help Needed On A Classy Company Name.

Posted by genez-mylyffe_myworld on 250 Points
Hi all,

I am having a dilemma on the name that my company should have.

I'll be operating a store that sells modern high-end furnitures, hence i would need a classy yet simple name that will speak out to the targeted audiences out there, the store will be operating in Singapore.

A few names that i have thought of are
1) Exclusive
2) Alto
...etc.

But they dont seem to have the effect i wanted.

Hope to have some advice on it.

Thanks all!

Cheers,
Eugene.

We should probably start by understanding "the effect" you wanted. What is that effect? How will you know the right name when it shows up? What would you like your target audience to know/feel when they see the name? (Who IS your primary target audience? Surely it's not everyone in Singapore. What do you know about that target audience and how they buy furniture?)

If you simply want a "good feeling" name, Alto (your #2 name) could work. It would need a tagline, but most names would ... to explain what you do, what benefit you deliver, who the target audience is.

"Exclusive" is (a) too literal, and (b) not something you say about yourself. It's just something you ARE.

So let's start with the questions in the first paragraph. Once we have the "job specs," we can come up with naming strategies and candidates.

    Buenissimo

    Riccisimo

    Divina

    Modernity

Or use people's names eg 'Smithson and Jones Furniture', Or 'Oslo and Sons' etc or 'Eugene Furniture, Singapore'
