Our New Food And Wine Themed Event Needs A Name!

The City of Dublin in California is planning to offer a new outdoor event that would feature the fine wines and the international cuisine of our city and the surrounding the area along with art and music in the beautiful setting of Emerald Glen Park. I find that most food and wine festivals are called "Food and Wine Festival". We are looking for something that is a little more creative and catchy and will get people to come to our event. We'd love some feedback!

    Several suggestions, ranging from pro to silly:

    International Food Paring

    DFW festival
    - then come up with different meaning of DFW or make it a competition

    Wine & Cuisine

    Sharping your senses

    Burp & Slurp festival

    Gourmet Drinkers Festival

    Connoisseur Eaters gathering


    ....

    PS create a # for the event and use it extensively

    I googled your city and didn't find a lot of info about what its known for-- more info would help us. What is your theme?

    But Emerald Park makes me think of Emerald City-- "over the rainbow food and wine fest".

    Or, "you're not in Kansas anymore Food Fest" Then "we're not just about beef" (less known but you could also use corn)

    You can carry this thru with an Oz theme. Great ideas on google.

    Cities named Dublin often play off the Irish association-- more info would give more specific information.

    I wouldn't run away from the standard "Dublin Art and Wine" style name so quickly. It has the advantage of telling someone right up front what and where you are.

    For example, if instead you change over to to the Emerald Glen Park name instead of Dublin, I'd have no clue as to where the event is and I live in SF). And it would sound like a smaller event - not a city event.

    Perhaps you could use a standard name by some sort of tagline to promote the event better?

    Thanks to all for your clever ideas and helpful comments.
    I truly enjoyed "Burp and Slurp" in the first response . . . although not suitable for this event. The last response included some good food for thought which I appreciated.

    But the winner is the third responder! Several good ideas including Dine in Dublin, Vine and Dine and my favorite . . . Corks and Forks! We'll see what our Commissioners and Council Members think.
