Have You Ever Used Automation Software To Market?

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
My question is - if I am needing to update multiple twitter accounts, scrape forums to alert me every time someone mentions my company, and sometimes send messages to a lot of people at once - is there software to build something to do this?

I actually use Hootsuite! It's a great tool for the reasons you just listed. But I also need to build a variety of different accounts, sometimes several for clients in a short period, and basically just visit a lot of different sites in a brief time to get info on my tools. I've heard of some different web automation tools but was afraid to pay for any, and the free ones were confusing.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions !

Sorry, I was thinking of Win Automation or UBot or something along those lines that lets you build your own software for more specific applications than Hootsuite.

Hootsuite is one. I've seen others, but most have never moved beyond beta testing.

As for monitoring your reputation and mentions, I'd recommend a good old fashioned Google Alerts (set up a google alert on your name or your company name). You'll receive an email when mentioned online.

As for deeper monitoring, there is a service called Naymz (www.naymz.com) that will monitor your reputation online for you. The free service is pretty good, but for a few bucks a month, you can track who is looking you up and what is being said.

    Hope this helps you.

Don't forget Market Samurai and Internet Business Promoter! Best two software suites you can possibly get when it comes to Optimizing, Marketing, Submitting, and Stats/Brand/Keyword Tracking PERIOD.
