Soft Pretzels

Posted by glennamarino on 25 Points
My daughter and I are starting a soft pretzel business. It will have soft pretzels, egg and sausage sandwiches, ham and cheese and hotdogs wrapped in the pretzel dough. We want a fun, catchy name that we can create a logo around. She will be running it (her name is Gia) but she didn't want Gia's pretzels. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!

    Where are you located?
    Are you selling from a brick-and-mortar or a hand-truck?
Is the bulk of the business pretzels-as-snacks or more quick-food?

Not arguably (in an old Philly boys mind anyway) the best soft pretzels are associated with Philly and New York. (Philly being the best :-). Because of this, soft pretzels are also associated with Italian food, even though they actually come from the Germans.

I see from your name and your daughter's that you are probably of Italian decent. So why not use words that will highlight one of these locations or foods types. Of course your product offerings would have to reflect the name as well. Example would be a soft pretzel with a pizza topping or a Philly Steak Pretzel.

I am not going to suggest a name, but rather give you this information so you and your daughter (and other family members) can come up with it yourself. Creating your own name adds to the passion of owning a business. You will be more invested if you actually create the name. IMHO.

    Good luck.
