Looking For Good Logo Design At Affordable Cost

Posted by adam.mcmahon on 85 Points
I am looking for a logo to be made, I have a few ideas on what I'm looking for so the designer can get a feel for what I need. If anyone knows of a legitimate business and stands by their work (preferably has had work done by said company) I will greatly appreciate it. Now I live in Michigan, and have had some graphic design studios quote some standard pricing. Although, what I have found was shocking and very disappointing, $1,500 - $2,000 was the average price. Being a new business owner with so many startup cost already invested, I find it extremely hard to come up with more than $250 - $500 for a logo. As I assume many entrepreneurs understand my pain. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

P.S. the company is an automotive staffing company. Providing sub-contractors to do misc, work.

I have a graphic designer, originally working in the automotive industry in Michigan, who has created some very effective logos for me and for my clients. She is very reasonably priced too. (I'm currently working with her on two active client projects, and I have another one almost ready to assign.)

The key to getting what you want is giving clear direction up-front, so you don't turn the exercise into a subjective "that's not it yet" series of iterations.

I've found that it's even worth spending money on getting the Creative Brief just right before you assign the project, because it saves on the design end (and numerous revisions).

I will send you the designer's contact information if you want it. Just use the email address in my profile.

Try CrowdSpring.com. Your job is posted and an army of designers have the option to offer you a design. You choose the one you like and you're done. In a matter of days, you'll generally have dozens of logo designs from which to choose. Services such as this run about $300.

Organized differently, Elance.com is another option. You invite designers to bid on your project (you can establish a price or price range) and then you choose one to work with based on their responses and portfolios. Your funds sit in escrow until the job is completed and accepted by you.

We've had good luck with both options when helping clients with tight budgets.

    Gentlemen,

I already have the logo made from Microsoft office one note, I need some one to just perfect it. Make it clean, make it centered, and make it professional. If you know someone of that sort please comment accordingly.

    Thank you.
